“Painting a Better Community” – Our Mission Statement
Ralph E. Jones, Inc. maintains an active role in our community. We dedicate some of our resources to helping others. Being socially conscious is not only our responsibility, it also helps to build lasting relationships within our community. Research confirms that while consumers expect companies to provide great products and services, they also prefer companies that help the communities in which they live and work.
Beth A. Peiffer, Servant Leader, believes in supporting causes that are important to her personally, as well as those that are important to company employees. Vulnerable children and young adults, animals, chronic diseases, and educational initiatives are areas of interest.
Ralph E. Jones, Inc. provides time and resources for painting projects to help local non-profit organizations. Recent facility improvement projects include Harrisburg Boys & Girls Club, YWCA of Greater Harrisburg, Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, and Beacon Health Clinic.
We encourage employees to give back to the community, through both company-sponsored events and service projects on our employees’ own personal time. We have set annual goals for employee volunteer hours. Our 2020 goal for employees is 400 hours of service to the community.
Painters with Ralph E. Jones Inc. wanted to do something to help veterans. In May 2019, our employees completed a weekend service project to rehab a local V.F.W. (V.F.W. Post 1718, Harrisburg). The post commander told the company the outside of the V.F.W. building hadn’t been painted in decades, so painters showed up Saturday morning and did the work for free. Ralph E. Jones, Inc. was chosen as a WHTM-TV Hometown Hero for this service project. Our employees have chosen to adopt “R.E.D. Shirt Fridays” as a company-wide initiative. On Fridays, employees wear red t-shirts as a reminder to Remember Everyone Deployed. Ralph E. Jones, Inc. is planning to perform quarterly service projects for organizations that support veterans.
Ralph E. Jones, Inc. shows the company’s commitment to social responsibility through philanthropy. We contribute time, talent and resources, on a continuing basis, to local charities to assist with their daily operations. Our support of community agencies has direct impact on the communities where our business operates. Charitable contributions allow nonprofit agencies to maintain daily operations and assist vulnerable people. Gifts of time and talent help nonprofit agencies stretch their dollars further. Ralph E.
