Did you know that over 1,600 Pennsylvanians have died from domestic violence related incidents? This statistic and others like it is exactly why REJ participates in YWCA of Greater Harrisburg’s Week Without Violence (October 16-20). Here are ways you can help:
Donate! YWCA is always seeking donations for its shelter. Items like pillows, bedding, towels, and personal care items can be dropped off at 1101 Market St in Harrisburg.
Call! If you or someone you know is experiencing violence, call YWCA’s free and confidential hotline at
1-800-654-1211 to speak with an advocate.
