Paint strippers introduced to reduce levels of toxicity

Researchers at the University of Massachusetts invented a new type of paint stripping formula that promises to not be as toxic as existing paint strippers on the market today.

In addition to the reduced toxicity levels, the solvent remains competitive in the time it takes to strip paint: just 20 minutes.

“Consumers and companies typically require a quick dwell time, and we’re excited that we can offer this solution as a safer alternative,” remarked Toxics Use Reduction Institute research manager Greg Morose.

We at REJ are always happy to hear about the remarkable progress in the painting industry and are encouraged to see the new types of products coming into the marketplace.
