IFMA Central PA meeting in Elizabethtown PA on Wed. Nov 9th

Please check the ifmacentralpa.org website for location and times. Program:
Lancaster County is now officially home to Pennsylvania’s largest solar power project hosted by a college, university or school. The 2.6 megawatt array at Elizabethtown College was dedicated at a ceremony on Earth Day 2016. The project will produce more than 20 percent of E-town’s annual electricity needs and more than 3,000,000 kWh per year – enough to supply more than 20 percent of the college’s annual energy consumption. This is enough electricity to power more than 300 homes.

The $6 million project was financed through a power purchase agreement, under which Elizabethtown has agreed to buy its output over 20 years. The Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority chipped in with a $500,000 grant.

The array is owned and operated by Community Energy, based in Radnor. It was built by national firm Namaste Solar in collaboration with New Holland firm Advanced Solar Industries.

Please join our host, Mark Zimmerman, for optional tour of solar array at conclusion of program.

Please register by November 2nd.
